Dave Sherriff was in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, he is supervisor of the Engineering Drawing Office at RNZAF Base Auckland, he was left paraplegic after a private vehicle accident.

Dave plays wheelchair tennis and has coached a wheelchair basketball team.
